Mason Law fought bravely to tenth place on Sunday at Silverstone during round 10 of the 2017 National 1000cc Superstock Championship aboard his Stauff Connect Academy ZX-10RR Kawasaki, but is now looking ahead to Oulton Park this coming weekend, with renewed enthusiasm.

Speaking afterwards, Mason explained…

“I simply struggled at Silverstone and while it’s one of the best tracks on the calendar – probably my favourite – it’s the one circuit where I’ve probably done the least laps and the weather at the weekend didn’t help that for me. I think we’d only about 10 laps before Sunday morning and having not been there on a ‘thousand’ before wasn’t ideal. We made a big change before the race on the GR Motosport prepared ZX-10RR Kawasaki, which proved worthwhile and we weren’t a million miles away to be honest. My quickest lap time was better than the guy who finished fourth, but by half race distance I’d lost grip and struggled to stay with the main group in front. It was a strange weekend for me. Luckily, we are at Oulton Park this coming weekend, which is a circuit where I go well at. It has treated me good in the past. Thanks to my team for sticking with me at Silverstone; it wasn’t an easy weekend for me and I just need to get my head back in the game and try to replicate the win we had last time at Oulton earlier in the season.”
